OUR TEAM

 Rebecca Crowell and Jerry McLaughlin are professional artists with over 50 years of combined painting experience. They founded Squeegee Press in 2015 to publish content-rich educational media and to offer a spectrum of workshops for artists interested in cold wax medium. 2018 marks the launch of SP CREATE, an exclusive new line of unique and innovative tools for use with cold wax.

REBECCA CROWELL

Rebecca has been a professional artist for thirty years and is widely known for her innovative painting techniques involving cold wax medium and oils. She teaches these methods both in the US and internationally. Her work is handled by fine art galleries in Chicago, Atlanta, Milwaukee, Telluride, and Dublin, Ireland and is found in hundreds of private, public, and corporate collections. She was recently awarded a large commission for the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas and has been recognized by John Seed of the Huffington Post in his article, Ten Memorable Paintings of 2014. Rebecca holds an MFA in Painting and lives with her husband in rural west-central Wisconsin.

JERRY MCLAUGHLIN

Jerry McLaughlin has been a working visual artist for twenty years and has exhibited at galleries throughout the US. An expert in all things cold wax, he focuses his major energies on painting, teaching, and writing. Trained as a pediatric intensive care physician, he also holds a certificate in adult education from the University of Washington. Jerry is extremely passionate about teaching. His strength lies in identifying and addressing his students' individual needs. Jerry also has an active artist mentoring practice. His strong, minimalist work is in collections around the world. Jerry and his husband, Mike, live in Oakland, California with their dog Bert.

MIKE SAGUN | Creative Director

Mike's love for art came early on in his childhood. He became very passionate about theatre at age 12 and pursued it as a career for 11 years. In high school, his mother gave him his first 35 mm Canon camera and he spent an entire year processing photos in a dark room. He has a B.S. in Education and trained at the Lincoln Center Education in NY. When Mike isn't designing websites and photographing the world, he's healing hearts as a men's certified professional personal development and career coach and group facilitator.
